The timing vary from PC to PC. If you are trying to glitch using a mouse and keyboard I would suggest you get yourself a controller. I could never glitch consistently until I started building with a controller. Also, one thing I have noticed when glitching is that your build camera positioning makes a difference. Press Add Steam controller. Unplug the Steam controller by wire and follow the instructions from the screen. Some users reported that plugging and unplugging the controller worked when the Steam Link controller is not working in Big Picture. However, if you didn’t manage to solve this issue, we have one more option to consider. 2. Check in the "Controller Configuration" aaaall the way to the tabs on the right for "Base Editing" etc. For me, they were empty. Once I had selected the (new, I guess) Official XBox configuration, those mappings were populated, and the game worked normally. Did not have to restart the game. #5. The circle button on your controller might trigger the ~ key on the keyboard, which can be configured to toggle auto-lock. I've played a little with the auto-lock, and it's actually quite useful. I definitely don't like it mapped to the E (for toggle) and S (for hold) keys on the keyboard. "E" is already used for other things, like landing, and EDIT: The game has a three modes of movement - walk, run & sprint. Running is the default, while sprinting is "shift". In order to walk you must nudge the controller's left stick gently. Auto-walk isn't walk. It is a misnomer of auto-run that's been in the game since before the implementation of a third-person camera. Whatever is preventing No Man's Sky from launching with WMR, it seems to be related to having the left motion controller turned on. SteamVR cannot detect it or it causes the game to crash, so you need to re-launch SteamVR with the motion controllers turned off. If you turn it on mid-game, the game crashes immediately. It’s a connected universe that feels much larger than just a game. Truth be told No Man’s Sky is a bit like several games jammed together into one package. While there is a main storyline Full DxDiag – A copy of your system helps us evaluate the kind of PC you are using. A clear description of the bug, and exactly what you did for the problem to occur. If you’re playing No Man's Sky on PC, we’d always recommend checking the No Man’s Sky Steam Community Hub, as you may find answers to some common questions/issues there. Yeah, alt-tabbing doesn't work either. If you hold alt you can free look, but not control the ship. Unplayable till it's fixed unfortunately. Yeah, something is totally whack with the mouse with this update. Confirm that there is nothing you can do to control a ship with mouse. *sigh*. Seems I can't place anything in the build menu with my PS4 controller, not sure if anyone else is having this issue. the R2 button works fine with everything else like flying and shooting etc, just not the build menu. I can still use the left mouse click to place stuff for now, but yeah it's really weird. Showing 1 - 5 of 5 comments. vgpuo6.
